A Fun Post of Travels!

Since all of my posts have been so serious lately, I wanted to write a fun post about all my upcoming trips!!  Now, I will say I have some reservations because I feel like I'm running from all the "stuff" I'm dealing with in Houston, but sometimes you just need to get away and surround yourself with good friends!  And right now, that's what I need.

First up Chicago/Canada:  I'm literally flying into Chicago, staying one night and driving to Canada!  I've never been to Canada so I am super excited!  I'll be staying at a GORGEOUS Lake House, sailing and relaxing and exploring!!! Four Days away!!!

Then I have a trip to LA:  This will only be a three day getaway!  I will be having dinner at The Ivy Thursday night, Venice Beach Friday and head somewhere on Manhattan Beach for dinner Friday night!  Then Saturday we plan to sail over to Catalina Island!!  I'm hoping to visit the phenomenal Getty Museum as well, but we will see!

And Then NY, NY:  I have two friends from high school that live there and can't wait to see them.  My girl friend that lives there, she and I plan to sail the Hudson and be tourists!!  And we all may catch the U.S. Open while we are there!  Ahhhhh!!!!  Can't wait!!

I have to say a sincere thank you to my friends and family for making these trips possible.  I love you all and couldn't have done it with out you!  I am blessed!

Bonfire.   What began as a trash heap in 1909 grew into a massive wedding cake design, which at its tallest stood 109 feet, 10 inches. Bonfire symbolized A&M’s burning desire to beat the hell out of t.u. Softly Call the Muster... Let Comrade answer "here"

So I know I've gotten a little off track in my blogging.  It's thanks to my busy schedule and a new email pen pal, but this is one Aggie story I can't miss... Muster :  One of the GREATEST traditions at Texas A&M.  What Reed Arena will look like tomorrow Muster- also called muster roll (formerly) a list of persons to come together; collect; assemble; gather. One hundred years before I was ever born, Aggies gathered together on June 26,1883 to live over again their college days, the victories and defeats won and lost upon the drill field and in the classroom. By April 21, 1903, this annual gathering evolved into a celebration of Texas' Independence on San Jacinto Day.  It was not until 1922, however, that April 21 became the official day of events for all Aggies, thus, the annual tradition of Muster was born. This post is dedicated to the greatest couple I ever had the chance of working under, Brandon and Tiffany Verzal.  Brandon was my boss and Tiffany (his wife) came on board a short time later as my superior or Supervisor, either way, I had to answer to them both for a little more than three years in college:  BEST 3+ years I ever had..  You know how they say "if you love what you do, it's not work"?  Well, these two helped me to truly realize what that meant..
